Bont started in 1975 as an ice skates design company after the founder, Inze Bont, added fibreglass to the back of his skates for support when skating. Gradually the company grew in popularity and they added several new ranges for to their skate’s line, but as they expanded so did the demand for them to create cycling shoes as well. They used very much the same technology from their skates, including the use of Kevlar and carbon.
In the 2008 Olympics after work with several Olympic athletes, Bont cycle shoes amassed 8 gold medals and thus the range was born. Since then they have released 12 different models in their stock and cater to all different kinds of cyclists- be them enthusiastic beginners or advanced athletes and professional cyclists. They create their shoes at a factory specifically for their products and this means that quality is assured every time.
